Many of us have fond memories of being taken to visit our grandparents and maybe staying with them during the school holidays, but there's no doubt that grandparents are far more hands-on than they used to be, with some even providing childcare for those whose parents go out to work. Now, more than ever, their experience and practical support provides the backbone for many irish families. 'Meet My Grandparents' is a new series on RTÉ Junior Digital Radio celebrating childhood past and the endearing relationship between children and their grandparents. Ryan spoke to producer Sheena Horgan about the series.

'Meet My Grandparents' airs on RTÉ Junior Radio on Monday the 6^th of February at 8am and 6pm and will run daily from Monday to Friday for 5 weeks with an omnibus programme each Saturday at 9am.

Ryan spoke to Julie Menez whose husband is getting citizenship today. Julie was en route to Cathal Brugha Barracks. They saw the report on the news last night and it got them very excited. She met her husband Oze in a night out in Dublin. They are ten years together and have 2 children. 

Brent Pope joined Ryan in studio this morning in a revealing interview where he spoke about a lot more than the Six Nations.
